Electric Platform

18-Foot Battery-Supported Electric Spray Foam Rig

Battery-supported polyurethane processing system with shore power connection. Reduced fuel dependency, lower operating costs, and consistent daily production capability for residential and light commercial applications.

Platform Overview

Electric Battery-Supported Processing System

This 18-foot electric spray foam rig is a mobile polyurethane processing system designed to operate using battery-supported power, shore power, or supplemental generator input. This platform provides a controlled alternative to traditional diesel-powered spray foam rigs by reducing fuel dependency while maintaining consistent daily production capability.

By balancing equipment demand, material conditioning, and power usage, the system maintains reliable operation without requiring oversized generators or continuous fuel consumption. Designed for real-world spray foam applications supporting residential and light commercial insulation work.

The base system is built around the PMC PH-2 hydraulic proportioner with a 7.5 kW heater — a proven machine for insulation applications — matched to the battery power platform for balanced electrical demand.

Production Capability
Expected production: 2–3 sets per day under typical jobsite conditions using standard spray foam application methods. The system is engineered to deliver consistent daily output while operating within a controlled electrical power envelope.
Electric Feed Supply Pumps
This rig uses electric-driven material transfer pumps in place of traditional air-driven pumps — reducing air compressor demand, providing stable material feed pressure, improving system consistency, and reducing overall system load.

Spray Foam Machine

PMC PH-2 Hydraulic Proportioner — 7.5 kW

The PMC PH-2 is a hydraulic-drive proportioner with a 7.5 kW heater system — selected for this platform because its electrical demand is well-matched to the battery power system. Hydraulic drive maintains consistent 1:1 ratio under varying pressure conditions, providing reliable performance for residential and light commercial insulation applications.

Why Electric Feed Pumps?
Traditional rigs use air-driven transfer pumps, which add load to the compressed air system. This platform uses electric feed supply pumps on both A-side and B-side, reducing air compressor demand and providing stable, consistent material delivery to the proportioner — critical for maintaining balanced output on a battery-powered system.

Because material transfer is handled by electric pumps rather than air-driven transfer pumps, air demand is significantly reduced. The compressor provides air for the spray gun and auxiliary functions only — allowing a smaller, more efficient air system.

Material Processing & Conditioning

Controlled Processing Environment

This rig is designed as a mobile polyurethane processing system allowing proper material conditioning during operation. The insulated trailer compartment and integrated heating support consistent material temperature management throughout the spray day.

Barrel Heating
Optional Barrel Blazer drum heaters available — materials need to be 60°F or above to process. Required for cold weather operation.
Material Recirculation
Gun mount & machine recirculation system allows material to circulate through the system to stabilize temperature and pressure before spraying.
Insulated Compartment
Spray foam insulation package on walls, ceiling, and underneath trailer maintains stable interior temperatures protecting chemical materials.
Controlled Environment
Wall mount heater and optional rooftop AC/heater combo provide year-round interior temperature control.
